A number of stars have secured their places in the third round of Wimbledon, including world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, fourth seed Jessica Pegula, seventh seed Coco Gauff, and four-time Grand Slam champion and court fashion icon Naomi Osaka.
Top seed Sabalenka had to come from 5-2 down in the second set and save four set points before defeating McCartney Kessler 6-1, 7-6(9) in the second round of Wimbledon.
"It was an incredible level of play in the second set from her. She really tested me today, and I'm really happy to have passed that test," Sabalenka was quoted as saying.
"He's really been aggressive. It feels like whatever decision he makes, it's going to work out for him," he added.
She will next face former Roland Garros champion Jelena Ostapenko, who delivered a near-flawless performance to defeat Antonia Ruzic 6-2, 6-0 in just 66 minutes.
