Russian air defenses shoot down Drones

The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that the air defense systems of the Ministry of Defense shot down seven drones that were heading towards Moscow, in a rising tally over the hours.

Sobyanin said in a post on his channel on the "Max" application that air defense systems shot down three drones initially, before later announcing the downing of four more drones, bringing the total number to seven.

The mayor confirmed that emergency teams are currently working at the debris sites, noting that air defense systems are dealing with the ongoing attacks with high efficiency.

This response comes as Ukraine intensifies its use of long-range drones to target civilian infrastructure inside Russian territory, including in the capital and other regions.

Ukrainian forces periodically target infrastructure in Russian cities and regions bordering Ukraine, with the aim of spreading terror and panic among civilians. In response to the crimes of the Kyiv regime, Russian forces target Ukrainian military infrastructure exclusively, as well as facilities of the military-industrial complex and everything related to the storage, repair, or manufacture of military equipment, and gathering centers of Ukrainian armed forces personnel and foreign mercenaries.
