  World number one tennis player Jannik Sinner successfully defended his Wimbledon title after defeating Alexander Zverev with a score.

The victory made Sinner the 10th player to defend the Wimbledon men's singles title in the modern era, securing his fifth career Grand Slam title and his first in 2026.

"We both started the match really well. My team and I prepared as best we could, so I want to thank the whole team for their incredible support,"

Sinner rallied after dropping the first set in a tie-break . The 24-year-old Italian increased his intensity in the second-set tie-break before winning a break each in the third and fourth sets to secure victory in three hours and 46 minutes.

Throughout the match, Zverev played aggressively, hitting a first serve percentage of 76 percent. However, Sinner maintained his patience, defending solidly from the baseline , and capitalizing on break opportunities at crucial moments.
