Hydroplus Soccer League Program Manager Teddy Tjahjono said that Surakarta City, also known as Solo, in Central Java, will become the new regional base for the Hydroplus Soccer League (HSL) starting in the 2026/2027 season.
He explained that the addition of these regions means that the age group competition has a total of five regions as an effort to expand the development of female footballers in Indonesia.
He further explained that the opening of the Solo-specific region is part of the development of the coaching ecosystem that has been built through the Milk Life Soccer Challenge.
The program was prepared so that players who have graduated from elementary school (SD) age groups still have a competitive platform when entering the under 15 age category.
Teddy added that most of the Hydroplus Soccer League U-15 participants were graduates of the Milk Life Soccer Challenge, which has been running for the past two and a half years.
Therefore, the continuity of the competition is considered important so that the player development process is not interrupted after passing the age limit of 12 years.
