Storm disrupts Spain and Argentina's preparations for the World Cup final

 





  A storm disrupted Spain and Argentina's preparations for the World Cup final.

The Spanish national team was forced to cancel a training session scheduled for Saturday (July 18) local time at the Melanie Lane Training Ground, New Jersey, in accordance with safety protocols in force in the US, the Spanish Football Federation said in a statement.

Argentina started its final training session 45 minutes later than originally scheduled in Morristown, New Jersey.

The U.S. National Weather Service issued a warning on Saturday for severe thunderstorms and flash flooding in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan areas.

The agency predicted sunny skies on Sunday with a maximum temperature of 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
