England striker Bukayo Saka is proud to be part of an elite list of his country's players who have scored a hat-trick in the World Cup finals after his brilliant performance as the Three Lions defeated France in the third-place play-off for the 2026 World Cup.
Saka scored three goals in England's victory in Miami, USA, on Sunday, becoming the fourth player from his country to score a hat trick in a World Cup finals. Previously, only Geoff Hurst , Gary Lineker , and Harry Kane had achieved the feat.
"It feels amazing. I really enjoyed it and it's a great achievement, of course. I was just told that only four English players have ever scored a hat trick at a World Cup. You know who they are. It's a truly elite list, and I'm proud to be part of it," Saka said, as quoted by FIFA on Sunday.
