The Sudanese Ministry of Health revealed an increase in the rate of infection with cholera "B", and indicated that the isolation center in West Bara alone recorded 55 cases.

The ministry noted an increase in the rate of cholera infection “B”, explaining that the isolation center in West Bara alone recorded 55 cases.

In contrast, the ministry announced a significant decrease in dengue fever infection rates in a number of states, including River Nile, Kassala, Northern, Khartoum, Gezira and Gedaref, where only 95 cases were recorded without any deaths.

Regarding other diseases, the ministry explained that meningitis infections have decreased significantly, limited to 3 cases in both Khartoum and Al-Jazirah, with no deaths. It also noted that 113 cases were recorded in Al-Jazirah and Blue Nile states, also without any deaths.

Regarding medical preparedness, the ministry confirmed the availability of malaria drugs in most states, as well as the abundance of cholera drugs and intravenous solutions throughout the country, with the continued flow of support and medical supplies provided to Khartoum State to meet health challenges.
