The Sumsel United football club has officially appointed former Indonesian national team player M Nasuha as head coach for the 2026/2027 Championship season, aiming for promotion to the Super League.
Sumsel United President Cik Ujang said in Palembang on Thursday that the appointment of M Nasuha was made after management conducted a selection process for a number of coaching candidates.
"From several candidates we considered, the choice ultimately fell on M Nasuha. We consider him to be the right person to lead the team," he said.
In addition to having the capacity as a coach, M Nasuha is also considered capable of establishing good communication with the management team so that it is hoped that he can support the team development process optimally because open communication between the coach and management is an important factor in building a competitive team.
Meanwhile, regarding the target of promotion to the Super League, Cik Ujang emphasized that this target is a shared commitment of all levels of club management.
