Surabaya Immigration has arrested 15 foreign nationals for alleged permit violations

 




  The Class I Immigration Office, Special Immigration Checkpoint  Surabaya, together with the Sidoarjo Police, arrested 15 foreign nationals  suspected of being involved in immigration violations and other crimes in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java.

Head of the Surabaya Class I Special Immigration Office, Agus Winarto, in Sidoarjo, Monday, said the case was uncovered following public reports of suspicious activity by a foreign national at a house in Sidoarjo Regency on June 30, 2026.

"Officers then conducted surveillance and detained three citizens of the People's Republic of China, including an individual with the initials LGC, who failed to produce travel documents during inspection on July 2-3, 2026," he said.

Based on LGC's statement, officers expanded their investigation to a villa in Batu City and found nine Vietnamese citizens who did not have travel documents because all their passports were in LGC's possession.
