Team Vitality is increasingly demonstrating its mental strength and teamwork ahead of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational final match taking place at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 in Paris, France, on Saturday.
Team Vitality captain Vivi "Vivian" Indrawaty said communication and mutual trust among members were key to improving their performance throughout the tournament.
"The more we get here, the more we try to communicate well with our friends. It's very different from before we flew," Vivian said in a virtual interview with ANTARA on Saturday.
Team Vitality secured their place in the grand final after defeating the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) representative, Geltek Cyber Team, with a score of 3-1 in the semifinals held in Paris, France.
According to Vivian, the biggest improvement the team has felt since the start of the tournament is the improved quality of communication and the players' cohesiveness.
He believes that the relationship between players is now closer because each team member understands their respective roles better and gives them full trust during the match.
"The more you care, the more you trust your friends, the more liberating it is, 'enjoy guys' like that," said Vivian.
Team Vitality's performance also drew attention for their ability to maintain composure in stressful match situations. Vivian stated that maintaining composure was one of the skills they consistently practiced throughout the competition.
