The Bandung Regency Government , West Java, has confirmed that Si Jalak Harupat Stadium is ready to host the 2026 President's Cup pre-season tournament, which will open on July 25, 2026.
Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna said in Bandung Regency on Friday that the stadium's general readiness has been met, although improvements are still being made to a number of facilities, especially the quality of the field's grass.
"Overall, it's ready. But if there are any shortcomings, we'll fix them. Yesterday, some of the grass needed to be fixed, so we're currently repairing it," he said.
In addition to ensuring the facilities are ready, the Bandung Regency Government is also finalizing coordination with the Bandung City Police, the West Java Regional Police, and the Military District Command to ensure the tournament runs safely and smoothly.
Dadang said that based on the results of coordination with PSSI, Si Jalak Harupat Stadium was confirmed as the location for the opening of the 2026 President's Cup, which will begin with the match between Persib Bandung and Arema FC.
"Yesterday I met with PSSI, God willing, on July 25, 2026, the opening match will be held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium," he said.
He added that there has been no official confirmation regarding the possible presence of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the opening match, although the regional government has prepared a security scenario in case the head of state attends.
"There's no confirmation yet. Usually, information arrives four days before the event. But what's clear is that Si Jalak Harupat Stadium will host and host the opening ceremony of the 2026 President's Cup," he said.
The 2026 President's Cup is scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 6, 2026, with eight teams competing. Based on the draw, Group A will consist of Persib Bandung, Arema FC, Tampines Rovers, and DPMM FC, while Group B will consist of Persebaya Surabaya, Persija , PSMS Medan, and Port FC.
