"The Corruption Eradication Committee  believes in the professionalism of the National Police and the Attorney General's Office in handling cases," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo when confirmed.

Moreover, both law enforcement institutions are always open in handling a case so that the public can follow the developments in the investigation of alleged corruption cases.

"Therefore, let us all respect the ongoing legal process," he continued.

Previously, the Indonesian National Police's Corruption Eradication Commission (Kortastipidkor) on July 6, 2026, announced an investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering in the procurement and fulfillment of coal supplies for a number of steam-fired power plants for the 2018-2026 period.

On July 8, 2026, the Indonesian National Police's Corruption Eradication Commission (Kortastipidkor) began searching several locations. The National Police explained that the searches were related to three cases: the alleged coal supply corruption announced two days earlier, the alleged corruption in the Asabri and Jiwasraya insurance companies from 2020 to 2025, and the alleged money laundering case involving PT CBS's debt settlement to PT KNI, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

Febri Adriansyah, when he was still serving as the Head of Special Crimes Investigation, held a press conference on July 10, 2026. He admitted that a house in Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java, which had been searched by the National Police's Corruption Eradication Commission (Kortastipidkor) belonged to him.

In the early hours of July 11, 2026, the Attorney General's Office announced that Febri Adriansyah had resigned from his position as Head of Special Administrative Court and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had accepted the resignation.
