German Jurgen Klopp is one step away from taking over as coach of the German national team after reaching a preliminary agreement with the German Football Association to lead "Die Mannschaft" in the coming period.
According to journalist Florian Plattenberg, via his account on the "X" platform, the negotiations that took place yesterday in New York City witnessed a major breakthrough, as the two parties reached a preliminary agreement on a contract that extends until the end of the 2030 World Cup, and only some final details remain to be completed before the contracts are officially signed.
He added that Klopp will also finalize his departure from the Red Bull group, as this matter is expected to be settled with the management in New York by the beginning of next week at the latest.
He indicated that the German Football Association intends to officially announce the agreement during the day in preparation for Klopp to take over the leadership of the national team in preparation for the upcoming events, most notably the 2030 World Cup.
The German national team had been eliminated from the World Cup in the round of 32, after losing to Paraguay on penalties.
