The Emir of Qatar receives a number of world leaders to offer condolences on the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa

 





 Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, received a number of leaders who arrived in Doha to offer condolences on the death of the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, at Lusail Palace, on the second day of mourning.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassim Mohammed al-Badawi, Secretary General of the League of Arab States Nabil Fahmy, and Vice President of the Swiss Confederation Ignazio Cassis.

The Emir of Qatar also received the President of the Union of the Comoros, Othman Ghazali, the Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, and the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Dr. Mohamed Younis Al-Manfi.

He also received a number of sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Qatar, and crowds of citizens and guests of the country, who expressed their sincere condolences.

The Amiri Diwan had announced that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, would receive condolences from heads of state, the ruling family, dignitaries and citizens over three days, starting on Monday, July 13, and continuing until Wednesday, July 15.

The Diwan specified the reception times in the morning period from eight o'clock until eleven thirty, and in the evening period from after the afternoon prayer until the evening prayer.

On Sunday evening, the late Emir was laid to rest in Lusail Cemetery , after funeral prayers were held at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, in the presence of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Emir, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, a number of sheikhs, senior officials, and crowds of citizens and residents.
