The first quarter-final matches of the FIFA World Cup have been determined after the round of 16 competition kicked off on Saturday evening and will continue until next Tuesday.
The Moroccan national team played its round of 16 match last night against Canada, where it achieved a 3-0 victory to qualify for the next round.
Morocco thus became the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Cup, where they were waiting for the winner of the match between France and Paraguay to find out their opponent.
France and Paraguay also played in the same stage of the World Cup, with Didier Deschamps' team winning 1-0 thanks to a penalty kick by Kylian Mbappe.
France has thus set up a fiery encounter with Morocco in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, which will take place next Thursday evening at 11 pm Cairo and Saudi Arabia time, and 9 pm Morocco time.
