The Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office, the Central Sulawesi High Court, and the Central Sulawesi Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of electronic trials.
The cooperation agreement was signed by the Head of the Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office, Zullikar Tanjung, the Chief Justice of the Central Sulawesi High Court, Aroziduhu Waruwu, and the Head of the Central Sulawesi Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections, Herman Mulawarman.
The Head of the Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office, Zullikar Tanjung, stated in Palu on Friday that electronic trials are part of the digital transformation of the national criminal justice system to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of case handling.
"The use of information technology is the answer to various challenges, including geographical constraints, so that the judicial process can be faster, simpler, and less expensive without compromising the protection of the rights of those seeking justice," he said.
