Chef de Mission of the Indonesian Contingent for the 2026 Asian Games Todotua Pasaribu said he would involve the private sector to help meet the needs of athletes participating in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan in September.
He explained that the sponsorship cooperation scheme would help increase the budget allocated by the Indonesian government for the contingent's needs.
"Beyond that funding, we do plan to open up and integrate private sector sponsorships. This is, of course, within the framework of helping ensure the success of the Indonesian contingent's departure," Todotua said after a meeting with Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat at the Ministry of Youth and Sports office.
He further explained that by maximizing cooperation with various parties, it is hoped that the fulfillment of athletes' needs can be maximized.
