The Indonesian Ministry of Finance through the Directorate General of Treasury is optimally monitoring the utilization of the state budget for the construction of public schools in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province with a total budget of IDR 504.8 billion.
The monitoring is carried out to ensure that the APBN can be directly felt by the community through the operational of the strategic People's School project in Cucupam Village, Tetap District, Kaur Regency.
"This school is designed to be a comprehensive, integrated education center. Currently, various key facilities, such as a school building, student dormitories, teacher accommodation, a place of worship or mosque, and a kitchen, have been constructed," said Mohamad Irfan Surya Wardhana, Head of the Bengkulu Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes.
He said that based on field results, the progress of the physical construction of the public school had reached 93.69 percent and had exceeded the initial target plan.
The government is targeting the opening of schools and operations to be carried out on July 14, 2026, with 270 new students at elementary school , junior high school , and senior high school (SMA) levels.
On the other hand, Irfan explained, with the people's school program, the government has empowered and absorbed up to 1,360 daily workers in the field.
