TVRI provides a space for public interaction through joint viewing of the 2026 World Cup

TVRI South Kalimantan Station presents a space for community interaction through the 2026 World Cup joint viewing (nobar) activity as a forum to strengthen ties, build togetherness, and provide entertainment that can be enjoyed by various groups in an atmosphere of sportsmanship.

TVRI South Kalimantan's 2026 World Cup viewing publicist, Wirianto Hadi, said in Banjarmasin on Monday that viewing together is not only a means of watching football matches together, but also opens up a space for social interaction that brings together people from various backgrounds, thus creating togetherness and collective sports euphoria.

"We hope this joint viewing will be a way to strengthen and foster community ties. We want to bring joy and unite the community through a spirit of sportsmanship," said Wirianto.

He said that TVRI South Kalimantan will continue to hold public viewings until the 2026 World Cup final and invited the public to fill the TVRI office yard to enjoy the atmosphere of the match together, which is different from watching the match alone at home.

"We are waiting for the public on the TVRI South Kalimantan page until the peak of the final match," he said.

During the public viewing, the public witnessed two matches in the round of 16 which took place at high tension.

Norway defeated Brazil 2-1 thanks to Erling Haaland's two goals in the second half, while Brazil's only goal in reply was scored by Neymar Jr. from the penalty spot in injury time in the second half.

Another match pitted hosts Mexico against England, which ended in a 3-2 victory. Despite playing with 10 men after receiving a red card in the second half, England managed to win the match, maintaining a 3-2 lead until the final whistle.
