Russian demand for tourism in the UAE has rebounded with the return of package tours, while hotels continue to offer discounts of up to 65% to attract more visitors.
According to data from the Russian Association of Tour Operators "ATOR", accommodation discounts currently range between 40% and 65% in a number of hotels, along with a package of additional benefits including free accommodation for children, upgraded meal plans, free nights, free entry to water parks and amusement parks, as well as other promotional offers aimed at attracting more visitors.
Despite the high airfares, the Emirates still offers good value for money, with weekly flights for two people, including airfare, starting from around 115,000 Russian rubles, while the cost of staying in a five-star hotel on an all-inclusive basis starts from around 198,000 rubles.
Dubai maintains its position as the most attractive emirate for Russian tourists, accounting for about half of all bookings, and currently offers some of the most competitive deals in the country.
Tourism sector experts believe that the offers provided by Emirati hotels have strengthened their ability to compete with traditional destinations, especially Turkey, in terms of accommodation costs. In fact, some hotels in the UAE now offer lower prices than their Turkish counterparts of the same standard, while Egypt still tops the list of the most economical destinations.
As demand continues to improve, Russian tourists are increasingly booking their trips during the months of July, August and September, while tour operators have begun booking additional seat quotas on flights, anticipating continued sales growth during the summer season.
