The University of Indonesia contributed to the international anti-impunity forum through the participation of UI Faculty of Law Professor Heru Susetyo at the "Conference of End Impunity International Coalition" in Beirut, Lebanon.
UI stated that the participation was part of its academic contribution to the issue of enforcing international law and eliminating impunity for gross human rights violations.
"UI's contribution is not merely symbolic participation, but rather presents concrete and implementable academic ideas," said Heru.
Heru said that Indonesians should be grateful to live in a relatively safe and peaceful country compared to a number of countries in the Middle East that are still plagued by conflict.
"Let's show our support for the victims and refugees affected by serious human rights crimes worldwide. End the complicity surrounding these crimes and end the impunity of these criminals. Don't give these criminals against humanity a chance. Make them accountable before the law," he said.
