Usyk in advanced negotiations for farewell fight against Wilder

Former undisputed heavyweight world champion (minimum 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk is reportedly in advanced negotiations for a farewell fight against Deontay Wilder.

"Both teams are currently in advanced negotiations regarding the fight which will be held at the end of this year," The Ring reported on its official website which was monitored.

Usyk shocked the boxing world at the end of June when he announced he was relinquishing his World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Association (WBA), and International Boxing Federation (IBF) titles after initially relinquishing his World Boxing Organization (WBO) title.

After relinquishing all his titles, the 39-year-old Ukrainian boxer stated he still has one more fight before hanging up his gloves.

The undefeated boxer with a record of 25 wins including 16 knockouts (KO) initially hinted that he might fight the winner between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley to regain the undisputed heavyweight title, while also welcoming a trilogy fight with Tyson Fury.
