The King of the Yogyakarta Palace, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, received a visit from Moto3 racer Veda Ega Pratama and Moto2 racer Mario Suryo Aji at the Yogyakarta Palace to offer their blessings and advice ahead of the continuation of the 2026 world motorcycle racing competition.
Acting President Director of InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Ahmad Fajar in Yogyakarta, Sunday, said the visit was made to take Veda Ega and Mario Suryo Aji to visit Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X before the two of them return to international competitions.
"As Indonesians, being able to break into Moto3 and Moto2 is a rare achievement, especially since Veda is from Yogyakarta," he said.
According to Ahmad, the meeting also served as an opportunity to ask for the blessings of Sri Sultan so that both racers could achieve the best results in the next series of races.
"Indonesia is starting to be recognized internationally through their presence. Hopefully, this can motivate other young people," he said.
