Moto3 racer Veda Ega Pratama and Moto2 racer Mario Suryo Aji took the time to meet fans in Yogyakarta, Sunday, before leaving for the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit to undertake a number of training activities during the mid-season break.
The presence of the two racers at the Homecoming Tour Local Heroes Indonesia event with the theme "Indonesia Mendunia" at the March 1 General Attack Monument in Yogyakarta was greeted enthusiastically by the public and their fans.
"I'm so happy to be back home and to be warmly welcomed. It feels like I can enjoy the atmosphere of Yogyakarta again, including its food," said Veda.
Veda admitted that he had not had time to return home to Gunungkidul because upon arrival in Yogyakarta he immediately attended a series of activities organized by Pertamina, PT Astra Honda Motor , and partners during the competition break.
"Just arrived this morning, but I've already had time to eat boiled noodles," he said.
As a resident of Gunungkidul, Veda admitted that he had not forgotten the culinary specialty of his hometown, namely fried grasshoppers, which he said his team had brought.
