Team Vitality player Vivi "Vivian" Indrawaty said her team is choosing to focus on taking each match one at a time and abandoning its title of champion in its effort to defend its MLBB Women's International (MWI) 2026 title.
The captain made the statement after Team Vitality's opening match at the MWI 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC) in Paris, France, on Tuesday.
"Personally, I've done it by leaving behind who I am and focusing on how to play to win," Vivian.
According to Vivian, this approach helps him stay focused on the game without thinking about the high expectations attached to Team Vitality as the defending champions.
He revealed that the team's preparations for the 2026 MWI have remained essentially unchanged compared to last season. Consistency in training and improving the quality of play remain the team's primary focus.
