World heavyweight champion (minimum 90.7kg) Murat Gassiev is targeted to move on to bigger fights after forcing Peter Kadiru to submit in the IBA PRO 19 event at the VTB Arena, Moscow, Russia.
"Our next step will definitely be to Germany and England to fight Kabayel and Dubois," said International Boxing Association President Umar Kremlev in a report from The Ring, which was monitored.
Gassiev defeated Kadiru by technical knockout in the sixth round. The fight lacked any exciting momentum as Gassiev controlled the fight and strategically targeted the visibly out-of-shape Kadiru.
In the sixth round, Kadiru's camp opted to surrender after Gassiev cornered the Hamburg, Germany fighter against the ropes and launched a combination of hard punches to the head.
Although Kadiru was still standing and defending himself from the barrage of punches, his camp stopped the fight to protect their fighter.
