The Egyptian national team continues its preparations to face its Australian counterpart next Friday at Dallas Stadium in the United States, as part of the round of 32 competitions of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Egypt qualified for the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, as the runner-up in Group G with 5 points, only behind group leader Belgium on goal difference.

On Wednesday night, the Egyptian Football Association posted on its social media accounts footage from the training session at Gonzaga University Stadium in Spokane, USA.

The federation stated in a statement: "The first Egyptian national football team, led by the twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, conducted its training at the Gonzaga University stadium in Spokane, USA, in preparation for facing the Australian national team next Friday in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

The training session saw Hamdi Fathi participate in group training, while Mohamed Salah participated in part of the training, and the duo Mohamed Abdel Moneim and Ahmed Fatouh performed therapeutic exercises, indicating the improvement in his health condition after he had been suffering from pain in the hamstring.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian national team's sporting director, Ibrahim Hassan, said: "The Egyptian national team will train at 9 pm (Wednesday) and will head to Dallas at dawn on Thursday in preparation for facing Australia."

If Egypt wins, they will meet in the round of 16 with Argentina, the defending champions, or Cape Verde.
