Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma celebrated his wedding to his childhood sweetheart Alessia Elefante in a ceremony held in the Italian city of Locorotondo, in the presence of a large number of football stars.
The wedding was attended by a number of prominent names in the world of football, including Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, Norwegian Erling Haaland, and Italians Sandro Tonali, Paolo Maldini, and Nicolo Barella.
According to the report, Guardiola and Maldini's presence came days after news circulated about their meeting to discuss the possibility of the Spanish coach taking over the leadership of the Italian national team. However, reports indicated that Guardiola currently prefers to spend more time with his family before making his decision regarding his next coaching move.
Donnarumma met the interior designer in 2016 in their hometown of Castellammare di Stabia, near Naples. They had their son Leo in 2024 and announced their engagement last May.
Donnarumma joined Manchester City last summer from Paris Saint-Germain for £26 million, and in his first season with the team he won both the FA Cup and the League Cup.
