PB Jaya Raya badminton players Muhammad Zilazik Artando Zakaria and Afizzah Rahmadhani maintain their chances of winning two titles at the 2026 Yonex-Sunrise Jaya Raya Junior International Grand Prix after securing spots in more than one final.
Zilazik and Afizzah advanced to the U-17 mixed doubles final after defeating fellow Indonesian pair Muhammad Waldan Habibi/Gabrielle Bernice Nugroho Supriyadi 21-16, 21-12 in the semifinals at the PB Jaya Raya Sports Hall, South Tangerang, Saturday.
"I'm happy to have made it through the match unscathed and to have made it through to the final. We played well and worked well together, allowing us to anticipate our opponents' pressure and attacks," said Zilazik in an official statement from the organizers.
The pair, who have been paired together since 2025, improved on their performance in the previous edition, when they only reached the round of 16.
"Thank God, we've made it to the final this time, considering we only made it to the round of 16 last year. Hopefully, we can win," said Afizzah.
