Ramy Abbas, the agent of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, has returned to the issue of his client's transfer to Turkish club Besiktas, mocking the statements of club president Serdal Adalı, in which he held the agent responsible for the failure of the deal.
Salah's agent sends a sarcastic message to the Besiktas president
Salah was close to joining Besiktas on a free transfer after the end of his time with Liverpool, before his destination changed and he joined Trabzonspor, who agreed with him on a salary estimated at around 17 million euros per year, in addition to some variables.
The president of Besiktas had previously confirmed that Salah and his agent had initially agreed to the offer made by the club, and that the player had even expressed his approval during his communication with the technical director and the sporting director.
Adali said things changed after news spread that the deal was close to being finalized, noting that Salah's agent had significantly increased his financial demands, and accusing him of demanding a commission of up to 35%.
About a month after those statements, Ramy Abbas decided to respond sarcastically without engaging in a direct debate with the president of Besiktas.
Abbas posted a picture on his X platform account showing him with Mohamed Salah while they were eating at a Turkish restaurant.
Salah jokingly commented on the picture, asking: "Who ate both of them?", referring to the two plates of food in front of them.
Here, Abbas seized the opportunity to respond to the statements of the Besiktas president, saying to Salah: "You ate my plate, and 35% of your plate," in a clear reference to the commission percentage that the president of the Turkish club had spoken about.
Salah began his journey with Trabzonspor by participating as a substitute against Kasimpasa in the opening round of the Turkish League, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Egyptian star is preparing to play his first continental match in the Trabzonspor jersey, when they face Hungarian side Ferencváros in the first leg of the Europa League qualifying play-off.
