Media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed a surprise regarding the fate of his son, Mostafa Shobeir, the goalkeeper of Al-Ahly's first football team, after he received three European offers.
Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that his son received two official offers from the Danish club Nordsjælland and the Italian club Como, while there was also interest from the Czech club Slavia Prague, but all attempts were thwarted by Al-Ahly's insistence on keeping the goalkeeper.
Shobeir revealed that Nordsjælland's offer reached Al-Ahly's management and started at a value of one million dollars before its value increased, but the club rejected it directly. At the same time, he indicated that Como's Italian offer reached about two million dollars, but Al-Ahly's management also rejected it and informed the player that he was not for sale.
He pointed out: "Regarding Mustafa Shobeir's position, in a meeting with Captain Sayed Abdel Hafeez, the player said, 'I am at the service of Al-Ahly Club,' and Captain Sayed replied, 'And you are now being treated as the first category in the club.'"
Al Ahly's management had placed Mostafa Shobeir among its priorities in the contract renewal file, as the goalkeeper is under contract with the club until the summer of 2027, while Al Ahly seeks to extend it for additional years and keep him as one of the key elements in the team.
