Indonesian citizens in Japan will become contingent volunteers for the 2026 Asian Games

The Chef de Mission  team for the Indonesian contingent for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games has recruited a number of Indonesian citizens  in Japan as volunteers to support the Indonesian contingent during their participation in the multi-sport championship.

"We have communicated with representatives of the Indonesian community there. We will recruit them as volunteers for the CdM team," said Harry Warganegara, the Indonesian Contingent's CdM representative for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, while monitoring the Indonesian Soft Tennis Team's training camp.

He said the recruitment was related to non-technical readiness to ensure the smooth running of Indonesian athletes competing in the 2026 Asian Games on September 19–October 4.

Harry explained that the recruited volunteers would be tasked with assisting the Indonesian contingent upon their arrival and departure after participating in the Asian Games.

"They will be support staff or LOs, assisting our friends  with arrival and departure, transportation, and other matters," he said.
