The Indonesian men's national volleyball team will face defending champion Iran in the group stage of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games after both teams were drawn in Pool B alongside Thailand and Kyrgyzstan.
Based on the results of the 2026 Asian Games volleyball draw released on the official website on Saturday, the men's volleyball event at the 2026 Asian Games will be participated by 16 countries divided into four pools containing four teams each.
The men's volleyball competition is scheduled to take place from September 27 to October 3 at Okazaki Central Park General Gymnasium, Park Arena Komaki.
Iran is the opponent with the strongest track record in Pool B. The West Asian team is the defending champion and holder of three consecutive Asian Games gold medals from Incheon 2014, Jakarta-Palembang 2018, and Hangzhou 2022.
At the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games held in 2023, Iran retained the title after defeating host China 3-1 in the final.
