Alan Luchnikov, head of the Kalashnikov company, announced that the new KUB-10ME tactical-class high-precision guided ammunition, with a range of more than 100 kilometers, will soon enter service in the Russian army.
He added that the new drone is equipped with an AI-powered guidance head and a warhead weighing about 11 kilograms.
The company president said: "Deliveries to the army have begun, and they will soon appear on the front lines."
Lushnikov explained that the "KUB-10ME" operates in coordination with reconnaissance aircraft, which relay the drone's signals.
He confirmed that the ammunition was shown to journalists and clients, and that it generated considerable interest.
Lushnikov had previously stated that the development of this new product was completed in record time, leveraging the extensive experience gained from the use of other guided munitions in special operations. The emergence of this system, with a range exceeding 100 kilometers, reflects a trend toward expanding the capabilities of tactical attack drones.
It is worth noting that the KUB-10ME is a high-precision guided munition, designed to destroy a wide range of targets on the battlefield, including unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, command centers at various levels, air and missile defense targets, radar stations, electronic warfare assets, and anti-artillery reconnaissance assets.
This drone is also effective against drone launch sites, enemy helicopters and aircraft in exposed deployment areas, as well as in destroying field ammunition and fuel depots.
The ammunition can perform missions in various conditions, day and night, in moderate or bad weather, with wind gusts of up to 10 meters per second, and in a temperature range between -30 and +40 degrees Celsius.
