Leo/Daniel hope to win the title at the 2026 Taipei Open

Indonesian men's doubles badminton players Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin hope to win the 2026 Taipei Open title.

However, Daniel admitted that he wanted to remain focused on each match so he could give his best performance.

"We definitely hope to win the Taipei Open, but we want to focus on one game at a time. Hopefully, we can deliver the best results," Daniel said, as quoted by PBSI on Friday.

Leo/Daniel secured a ticket to the semifinals of the 2026 Taipei Open after silencing the host pair Chia Yen Lin/Lin Yong Sheng in two straight games 21-11 and 21-17 in the quarterfinals held at the Taipei Arena, Taipei, Friday.

"Thank God, we're grateful to have made it to the semifinals. We felt we played better today than yesterday, but we still need to correct a few mistakes and improve even more tomorrow," Daniel said regarding the match.

In the semifinals, the eighth-seeded pair in this tournament will meet Japanese pair Hiroki Okamura/Kyohei Yamashita, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday.
