Navarrete and Foster reportedly agree to a belt unification bout

The International Boxing Federation  and World Boxing Organization  super featherweight  world champion, Emanuel Navarrete, and the World Boxing Council  champion, O'Shaquie Foster, have reportedly agreed to a world championship belt unification match.

"DAZN's Chris Mannix reported Saturday that Emanuel Navarrete and O'Shaquie Foster will meet in a 130-pound title unification bout on October 24 at the Alamodome in San Antonio," according to a report from The Ring, which was monitored.

The fight has the potential to produce a triple world champion. Navarrete currently holds the IBF and WBO belts, while Foster retains the WBC. However, the status of Navarrete's WBO belt in the upcoming fight remains uncertain.

The uncertainty relates to Navarrete's obligation to defend his WBO title. The Mexican boxer has twice been ordered by the WBO to face Charly Suarez in a rematch. Their first encounter ended in controversy after the fight was stopped in the seventh round and declared a no-win fight.

Navarrete then solidified his position as one of the best boxers in the super featherweight division after capturing the IBF belt. He became the unified WBO and IBF champion with a dominant 11th-round knockout victory over Eduardo Nunez on February 28.

The victory further solidified Navarrete's professional record. The boxer nicknamed "Vaquero" now has 40 wins, including 33 by knockout, as well as two losses and one no-contest .
