Pacheco is ready to take on the toughest challenge yet, aiming for the WBA world title

Super middleweight  boxer Diego Pacheco said he is ready to enter the toughest arena in the division by targeting Jaime Munguia's World Boxing Association  world champion belt.

"Previously, I was considered a high-risk, low-reward fighter, but I've been promised a world title fight in this contract with Matchroom, and hopefully, we can make it happen. I want a big-name opponent next," Diego Pacheco said in a report from The Ring.

Pacheco recently secured an 11th-round knockout victory over Immanuwel Aleem last month. With this victory, the American boxer maintained his position in the middle of the rankings with a record of 26 wins, including 19 knockouts .

He immediately pushed for a fight against WBA super middleweight champion Jaime Munguia, but promoter Eddie Hearn proposed other potential fights against Armando Resendiz and Bruno Surace which would give Pacheco more experience.

Pacheco prefers to remain patient and trust the process, but the 25-year-old insists he is ready to face the reigning champion and top contenders, especially with new trainer Buddy McGirt at the helm.

"Each of the champions is a tough opponent and a tough fighter. They're all evenly matched. If I could pick one champion, it would be Munguia because I feel he's the biggest name and the biggest draw," he said.
