Struggle, career stress, and the fear of rejection often leave people mentally exhausted. In such situations, being close to nature is no less than a form of therapy. Planting a small corner of your home not only enhances the beauty of your home but also reduces sadness and can permanently banish negativity. If you too are seeking peace and tranquility away from the stresses of life, home gardening can be a new beginning for you.
How plants changed life?
Sweety was becoming increasingly depressed due to her career struggles and the constant rejections she faced. Meanwhile, she noticed a grandmother in her neighborhood who, after her parents left for work, devoted herself to gardening with great enthusiasm and was always so happy.
One day, when Sweety shared her sadness with her, her grandmother smiled and said, "You'll get a job when you need it. First, learn to keep yourself happy. You should start gardening."
Sweety had no experience in gardening, but after consulting her grandmother, she began planting small saplings. As the plants grew, Sweety's self-confidence began to return. Today, she enjoys fresh home-grown vegetables, and negative thoughts have vanished from her life.
How to start home gardening?
- Initially, plant plants like money plant, aloevera, mint, coriander or basil, which do not require much care.
- Now first of all choose that corner of your house where there is good sunlight for at least 3-4 hours, like balcony or window.
- Then prepare the soil by adding some cocopeat and organic manure to it.
- Then use only small plastic or clay pots.
Note: People often overwater plants, causing the roots to rot. Water only when the topsoil appears dry. Additionally, there should be a small hole at the bottom of the pot to allow excess water to drain out.
