The Thai U16 women's national team advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 Srikandi Merdeka Cup after defeating Singapore with a landslide score of 6-0 in their final Group B match at the Supersoccer Arena, Kudus Regency.
Thailand dominated from the start. Hidarat Wiwaskhu's team scored six winning goals in the 8th, 38th, 42nd, 54th, 56th, and 90+2nd minutes, respectively.
Thailand took the lead in the eighth minute through Nanthiya Meepho. The goal came from a rebound that the Singapore goalkeeper failed to secure, and Nanthiya immediately tapped in to make it 1-0.
With superior ball possession, Thailand continued to pressure Singapore's defense through a variety of attacks from the left, right, and center.
The pressure paid off again in the 38th minute. Thailand captain Kawinthida Kikuntod unleashed a powerful shot that the Singapore goalkeeper failed to anticipate, giving Thailand a 2-0 lead.
