The Syrian news agency SANA reported that the participants include local, Arab and international companies, in addition to government ministries and agencies, chambers of commerce, business councils, investment, service and craft entities.
The new session is witnessing an increase in the size of participation compared to the 62nd session held in 2025 with the participation of 800 companies and more than 20 countries, amid expectations that the broad participation will contribute to opening new channels for trade and investment and enhancing Syria’s openness to regional and international markets.
The list of participating or represented countries includes China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, Italy, Lebanon, Palestine, South Africa, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Sudan, in addition to collective representation of about 25 countries through the Central European Chamber.
Germany leads the official international participation with a pavilion featuring 13 exhibitors, along with a delegation and a program for cooperation with the Syrian exhibition sector. Turkey is also participating, commissioned by the Ministry of Trade, while the exhibition is included in the Saudi Export Development Authority's program.
The Director General of the Syrian Foundation for Exhibitions and International Markets, Muhammad Hamza, said that the session will witness the organization of the “First Damascus Economic Forum” with the participation of governmental, economic and international figures.
He added that the first three days will be dedicated to businessmen and investors with the aim of promoting investment and building economic partnerships, while the following days will include public, cultural and social events.
