Liverpool star Dominic Szoboszlai has added to the mystery surrounding what happened at the end of last Thursday's friendly against Wrexham.
Liverpool played their second friendly match in the early hours of Thursday morning against Wrexham, where they achieved a 1-0 victory with a goal scored by Rio Ngomoha.
Following the match, videos emerged showing a verbal altercation between Curtis Gonz, Dominik Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas, over the captain's armband, as the former wanted it while the Hungarian gave it to the latter.
When asked what had happened, Szoboszlai cleverly dodged the question, saying: "Some players have left. We may not be the oldest players in the team, but we have been here for a long time."
He added: "For example there is Florian Wirtz, Mac Allister if he returns, Isaac, there is also certainly Van Dijk, Alisson and Joe Gomez, we are all in the same boat, we want the best for the club and for each other."
He continued: "We have a leader, Van Dijk, we will always follow him, we will adhere to his instructions and the coach's instructions as well. I think I can speak for everyone and confirm that we want to achieve success this season."
