Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, the Egyptian national team player and Al-Riyadh Saudi club player, has put an end to the controversy surrounding his international future, confirming that he is not thinking about retiring from playing with the "Pharaohs" at the present time.
Trezeguet said, in statements to the "Rotana Sport with Waleed" program with journalist Waleed Al-Faraj, that he is still 31 years old, stressing his constant readiness to represent the Egyptian national team.
The player explained: "I am still 31 years old, and I am always at the service of the Egyptian national team. The decision to retire from international football is not on my mind at all, as it is still too early for that."
Trezeguet also spoke about his compatriot Mohamed Salah's move to Turkish club Trabzonspor, revealing that he played a role in encouraging the former Liverpool star to take on the challenge.
He explained that Trabzonspor officials contacted him before speaking with Salah, noting the strong relationship he has with his teammate in the Egyptian national team.
Trezeguet said: "Mohamed Salah is like a brother to me, and we have been playing together for 13 years. When Trabzonspor officials contacted me, I advised him to move to the team because it is a strong club, and I wish him all the best and success."
Salah's move to Trabzonspor is attracting considerable attention in Türkiye, amid widespread public anticipation of what the Egyptian star will offer with his new team.
On another note, Trezeguet continues his journey with Al-Riyadh Club in the Saudi League, where the team seeks to achieve its first victory of the season after losing its first two matches against Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nasr.
The Egyptian player hopes to help his team improve its results in the coming period, after becoming one of the most prominent attacking elements in Al-Riyadh's ranks.
