Following his visit to Belarus on August 25, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that the prototype of the Russian-Belarusian aircraft "Osfi" will appear in 2027.
According to Manturov, flight tests of the aircraft will then begin. This was reported by the Belarusian state news agency Belta.
Manturov said: "I am confident that next year we will have the prototype that will begin flight tests."
Manturov added that he expects the certification process for the "Osvi" aircraft to be completed by the end of 2029. The aircraft will then be introduced to the Russian and Belarusian markets, and there are plans to supply it to other countries.
The "Osfi" is a light, multi-purpose turboprop aircraft with a capacity of 19 passengers, developed for domestic airlines. Its development is being carried out by specialists from the Ural Civil Aviation Plant in Yekaterinburg and Belarusian Aircraft Repair Plant No. 558.
