According to her, medicine divides vertigo (dizziness) into two main types - systemic vertigo and non-systemic vertigo. A person with systemic vertigo feels as if their body is spinning in a vacuum, often described as "turning around," while non-systemic vertigo is like "swaying on a ship," a feeling of instability and unsteadiness, invisible to the outside world, and a feeling of impending faintness.

- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which occurs when the stones in the inner ear begin to move and irritate the sensory receptors when the body changes position;

- Meniere's disease, which is an inner ear disorder characterized by an excessive accumulation of intra-articular lymphatic fluid;

- Vestibular neuritis, which is often caused by a viral infection affecting the vestibular system;

- In less common cases - acoustic neuroma, stroke, and multiple sclerosis.

Non-systemic vertigo may occur due to the conditions mentioned above, in addition to anxiety and depression, leading to persistent perceptual postural vertigo.

Iron deficiency anemia and low orthostatic blood pressure are often accompanied by symptoms such as blurred vision and a feeling of imbalance when changing body position suddenly.

From the above, we can conclude that the term “dizziness” is not a simple diagnosis and that its cause is not “compression of blood vessels,” “lack of oxygen,” or “osteoarthritis,” but rather fundamental and complex processes in the body.
