The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 Women's Series Bangkok 2026 in Thailand, August 22-23, is a crucial moment for the fight for the championship title and the accumulation of points towards the Project Redwings Shanghai Final on September 5-6.
The FIBA 3x3 website reported on Friday that Mongolia's Ulaanbaatar Amazons are the top seeds and the favorites to win the title, having won two Women's Series titles this season and leading the overall standings.
Khulan Onolbaatar is back as their mainstay. Onolbaatar previously led the Amazons to a third-place finish in the Singapore series. In Bangkok, they are in Group A alongside Kenya and Slovenia.
According to FIBA 3x3 statistics, Canada is the second seed and is looking to return to top form after winning the 2025 Women's Series Final.
The team will face tough competition from Australia and Madagascar in Group B. Australia is the seventh seed and has won two series this season, with Alex Wilson as one of the main players.
Meanwhile, China is the third seed and is in Group C with Mitsubishi Electric Japan and the winning team from the qualifying draw for Group A. Yang Hengyu is a player to watch after collecting a total of 123 rebounds throughout the 2026 season.
