Indonesia Pro-Am boosts competitiveness of national golfers in Asia

The Indonesia Pro-Am tournament presented by Combiphar & Nomura 2026 at Gunung Geulis Country Club, Bogor Regency, West Java, is a platform to encourage the competitiveness of national golfers at the Asian level.

Gunung Geulis Country Club President Director Agung Budiman in Bogor said on Friday that the tournament, which is part of the Asian Development Tour , provides an opportunity for Indonesian golfers to measure their abilities.

"The Indonesia Pro-Am provides a platform for our national golfers to grow their game. As a result, we are quite pleased that three of our golfers, Kevin C. Akbar, Peter Gunawan, and Amadeus Susanto, were able to compete with foreign golfers until the final round," said Agung.

He hopes that more Indonesian golfers will compete next year.

The Indonesia Pro-Am has been held in a professional-amateur format since 2023, featuring individual and team categories that pair professional golfers with amateurs.

Combiphar President Director Michael Wanandi said the pro-am format provides a different competitive atmosphere because professional golfers not only compete individually, but also play alongside amateur golfers in the team category.
