The Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted the head of the village council in Al-Mughayyir, Amin Abu Aliya, as saying that “settlers and occupation forces stormed the center of the village near the Grand Mosque, attacked two houses and stole sheep belonging to one of the farmers in the village.”
Abu Aliya added that "snipers from the occupation army took up positions on buildings in the middle of the village, and when the residents tried to confront the settlers while they were stealing sheep, the snipers fired live ammunition at the citizens."
He explained that the shooting resulted in the young man and the child sustaining critical injuries, before they died while being transported to the hospital.
The village of Al-Mughayyir, located northeast of Ramallah, is witnessing frequent attacks by Israeli settlers, which often coincide, according to Palestinian sources, with raids by the Israeli army.
