Brazilian Neymar Jr., a player for Santos, launched an attack on a maintenance official at the Santos stadium after the draw with Palmeiras and the elimination from the Brazilian Cup.
Santos drew with Palmeiras and were eliminated from the Brazilian Cup in the quarter-finals after losing the first leg 3-0.
Neymar was injured in the match and is scheduled to undergo a medical examination as he felt very uncomfortable and began physiotherapy sessions immediately afterward.
Neymar attacked the Santos stadium maintenance manager and wrote via the "Stories" feature on his official Instagram account: "Yesterday, the pitch at Villa Stadium was the worst the stadium has ever seen, full of holes. It's unbelievable."
He added: "In addition to playing against the opponent, we also had to play against the pitch, and on top of that, we had to exert more effort when accelerating and decelerating while running because of the unevenness of the pitch."
He concluded: "It is no coincidence that 3 players have been experiencing problems since the first half. Bravo, you have done a truly great job."
Santos is also struggling in the Brazilian league this season, currently in 14th place with 29 points from 24 matches, just 4 points above the relegation zone with 14 matches remaining.
