The Association of Telecommunication Tower Infrastructure Providers is holding an esports tournament as part of a series of events commemorating Post and Telecommunication Service Day 2026.

The esports tournament , part of a series of events commemorating the 81st Post and Telecommunications Service Day, involved companies and institutions specializing in information and communication technology.
According to a press release from the association on Saturday, the tournament, which was attended by 27 teams with five players each, played the MOBA "Mobile Legends Bang Bang."
The association stated that the tournament was held to demonstrate that digital connectivity built by industry players contributes to the growth of Indonesia's digital ecosystem, including the gaming industry.
"We believe that good connectivity will also boost the gaming industry , especially in Indonesia," said ASPIMTEL Administrator Indra Gunawan.
Secretary of the Directorate General of Digital Ecosystems at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Aryo Pamoragung, said that the gaming industry is an important part of the digital ecosystem.
" The gaming industry is no longer just a side hustle and bustle, it's a huge industry, and part of the digital ecosystem," he said.
The General Chairman of the Indonesian Esports Association (IESPA) National Board, Ibnu Sulistyo Riza Pradipto, hopes that esports can become a permanent part of the annual Postal Service Day celebrations.
He stated that the gaming industry, including esports, can grow due to the connectivity provided by reliable digital infrastructure.
" Esports has 68 million active gamers , this is the future of work , this is the future of the Indonesian economy," he said.
"The ecosystem is not only for pro players , but also for event organizers , esports team managers , esports referees , and esports casters ," he added.
