Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is set to make a last-minute decision regarding Lamine Djamel's participation against Valencia in La Liga, following the young star's absence from Barca's final training session.
Jamal (19 years old) performed individual training on Saturday due to his recovery from a minor injury.
Flick said at a press conference on the eve of Sunday's match against Valencia in the fourth round of the Spanish League: "Lamine has been training separately. He is doing well. He will travel with us to Valencia. We will see what happens."
He added: "He was suffering from pain as a result of a minor injury, and he is training separately, but he says he is fine and can play tomorrow."
The German coach continued: "We will make the decision. I don't know if he will get a rest or not. He wants to play. He doesn't prefer to train separately. His physical condition is excellent."
He added: "His mental state and morale are improving. In the last match, his performance was outstanding. For him, playing is better than training."
